The effectiveness of CitroxxTM is up to 99.9998% for a wide range of bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Disinfecting/Cleaning products that only claim 99.9% effectiveness are 100 times less powerful than CitroxxTM. I.e. in a droplet of infected material (e.g. 1ml), of the ten thousand viruses that might be existing pre-treatment, ten viruses could be left to grow rapidly if the effective rate (log reduction) is 99.9%.
With CitroxxTM, 99.9998% effectiveness means that 0.1 virus would remain in 1ml of infected solution, the probability therefore being that post treatment with CitroxxTM, there would be no contamination.
Trevor Stone, Professor of Pharmacology at Glasgow University (author of 13 books and over 300 publications), says that "Citroxx is one of the most effective biocides I have encountered. I do believe that its full efficacy has yet to be realised and I am excited by the potential."
